KEYS is an exclusive benefit catered to Platinum Members, forming part of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club. These Terms and Conditions and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Terms and Conditions govern the KEYS product. You should read them together carefully. These Terms and Conditions are effective from the date of their publication on Qatar Airways’ web site (XX January 2025). Qatar Airways may change any of these Terms and Conditions, as well as the benefits available under the KEYS product, at any time at its own and entire discretion. While prior notice of changes to these Terms and Conditions may not always be possible due to operational or other considerations, Qatar Airways will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of any material changes.
Except as otherwise provided in these Terms and Conditions by specific reference to the applicable provision of the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions, if any provision contained in these Terms and Conditions is in conflict with, or inconsistent with, any provision in the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions, the provision contained in these Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
Definitions
The following terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the meaning set out below or in the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions, unless the context requires otherwise:

| KEY(S) | means the exclusive benefit offered to Platinum Members who can unlock availability for Award Redemptions under this Terms and Conditions. |
| Qatar Airways | means Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C. (commercial registration No. 16070) having its principal place of business located at Qatar Airways Tower 1, Airport Road, PO Box 22550, Doha, State of Qatar. |
| Platinum Member | means a Main Member in the highest tier on Qatar Airways Privilege Club. |
| Terms and Conditions | mean these terms and conditions governing the KEYS product as amended from time to time. |
KEYS Allocation and Validity
2.1 KEYS are allotted to Platinum Members only, including Student Club Platinum Members.
2.2 Platinum Members are allotted two (2) KEYS automatically upon reaching the Platinum Tier or upon renewal of the Platinum Tier.
2.3 The allotted KEYS are valid until the validity of the Platinum Tier of the Platinum Member.
2.4 On Platinum Membership Tier renewal, any unused KEYS will expire and new set of KEYS will be allotted.
2.5 On Membership Tier downgrade to Gold or Burgundy Membership Tier, any unused KEYS will expire and no new KEYS will be allotted.
2.6 The benefits associated with a KEY may be exercised by the Platinum Member provided that his / her Membership to which the KEY relates remains active.
KEYS Redemption Process
KEYS are redeemable to only unlock the benefits of Award Tickets and/or Award Upgrades in Economy, Business, and, where available, First Class cabin, in accordance with the terms detailed under sections 4 and 5 below. While best efforts will be made to ensure availability, KEYS may be unable to be redeemed for operational reasons, including during limited blackout periods.
3.2 Member must redeem Avios to complete Award Redemptions in accordance with the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions.
3.3 KEYS are redeemable for Award Redemptions on Qatar Airways’ operated and marketed flights only, and not on partner airlines, including Oneworld airlines, or codeshare flights.
3.4 A KEY is redeemable for an Award Redemption only for the following persons:
a. Main Member; or
b. Nominated Family Member, who has an “approved” status; or
c. Main Member plus Family Member, when travelling together on the same booking; or
d. Family Members, who has an “approved” status, when travelling together on the same booking; or
e. Infant passengers, when travelling together on the same booking with Main Member or Nominated Family Member.
3.5 Additional KEYS are not charged for Infant passengers, when they do not occupy a seat. If an Infant occupies a seat, then an additional KEY and Avios will be collected. The Avios charged will be 10% of Avios required for an Adult.
3.6 The travel dates for an Award Redemption using KEYS can be modified, free of charge for the Main Platinum Member’s ticket up to three (3) hours prior to departure. For the other passengers fees/taxes may apply for tickets changes and cancellation in accordance with the applicable fare rules available at: https://www.qatarairways.com/en-qa/Privilege-Club/redeem-avios/award-ticket-fees.html.
3.7 An Award Redemption using KEYS can be refunded, based on the ticket fare rules.
3.8 KEYS cannot be purchased, sold and are not transferrable to another Membership account (within Qatar Airways) or to any other airline or third-party frequent flyer or loyalty programme.
3.9 Members must keep their Membership profile up to date with the correct email address and mobile number. Qatar Airways will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a consequence of misdirected communication in relation to any Award Redemptions.
Award Tickets booked with KEYS
Award Ticket must be booked on Qatar Airways’ operated and marketed flights only and cannot be made on partner airlines, including Oneworld airlines, or codeshare flights.
4.2 Award Ticket can be booked in any cabin (First class; Business class; Economy class or combination of First and Business class).
4.3 One (1) KEY can unlock availability of an Award Ticket for a permitted ‘one-way’ trip such as Doha (DOH) to London (LON) or a transit/connecting ‘one-way’ trip such as Bangkok (BKK) to London (LON), via Doha (DOH), per passenger.
4.5 Award Ticket(s) may include an Adult or, subject to the Conditions of Carriage, a Child or Infant passenger.
4.6 An Award Ticket using KEYS may comprise a maximum of four (4) sectors.
4.7 The benefit of ‘5% Avios discount on online redemption’ is not applicable for Award Tickets booked using KEYS.
4.8 The number of Avios required for an Award Ticket using KEYS can be calculated with MyCalculator.
4.9 ‘Avios + Cash’ Award is permitted for Award Tickets booked using KEYS.
4.10 The Member will be liable for any applicable government taxes, fees, surcharges and booking Fees, which must be paid prior to the issuance of an Award Ticket booked using KEYS.
Award Upgrades booked with KEYS
5.1 Award Upgrades are applicable only on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways and for tickets issued by Qatar Airways (ticket numbers starting with 157).
5.2 Award Upgrades can be booked in First class; Business class; or combination of First and Business class.
5.3 One (1) KEY can unlock upgrade availability of an Award Upgrade for a permitted ‘one-way’ trip such as Doha (DOH) to London (LON) or a transit/connecting ‘one-way’ trip such as Bangkok (BKK) to London (LON), via Doha (DOH), per passenger.
5.4 Award Upgrade may include an Adult or, subject to the Conditions of Carriage, a Child passenger.
5.5 Award Upgrades for Infant passengers are not permitted.
5.6 The number of Avios required for an Award Upgrade using KEYS can be calculated with MyCalculator.
5.7 Baggage allowance and lounge access apply based on the originally booked itinerary. Platinum Main Members will get lounge access and extra baggage based on their Tier Benefits.
5.8 A combination of Avios and Cash is not permitted for Award Upgrades booked using KEYS.
5.9 Bookings made on Promotional fares (Booking classes - W, P and G) are not eligible for Award Upgrades booked with KEYS.
5.10 Tickets such as ID/AD, travel industry reduced rates, free/non-revenue, staff promotional or tickets issued under campaigns under some promotional fares, are not eligible for an Award Upgrade booked with KEYS.
5.11 If Member has requested a special meal in Economy Class in his original booking, the meal may not be served in the upgraded cabin where KEY was used for an Award Upgrade.
5.12 Avios will be earned by the Platinum Member based on the original booking class purchased and not on the upgraded class resulting from the Award Upgrade.
5.13 The Member will be liable for any applicable government taxes, fees, surcharges and booking Fees, which must be paid prior to the issuance of an Award Upgrade booked using Keys.
5.14 An Award Upgrade cannot be paid with Qcredits when an Award Upgrade is booked using KEYS.
Miscellaneous
6.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Qatar. Each Member shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the State of Qatar to resolve disputes arising out or in connection with the KEY products. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, Qatar Airways shall have the right to initiate proceedings before any competent courts worldwide, as Qatar Airways may deem it fit.
6.2 Capitalised terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the same meaning as the equivalent terms in the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions, which are available here: https://www.qatarairways.com/en/Privilege-Club/terms-and-conditions.html unless the context requires otherwise.
6.3 Save as provided in these Terms and Conditions, any other Avios accrual shall be in accordance with the Privilege Club Terms and Conditions.
6.4 Qatar Airways may in its sole and absolute discretion terminate or suspend the availability of KEY product for any reason whatsoever at any time, without incurring any cost or liability as a result of using this right.
6.5 Qatar Airways shall not be liable for any kind of loss or damage, including (without limitation) any loss or reduction of a Member’s advantage and any detriment or disadvantage, resulting from the Member’s use of KEYS product.
6.6 The limitations and exclusions of liability referred to in the Conditions or Carriage shall apply in relation to the Award Redemptions and KEYS.
